About Me

Dad, is there a job where I can be a doctor and talk about feelings?”
“Yep, I think they’re called… psychiatrists!

If you are interested in individualized, tailored care, feel free to contact me or schedule a consultation.

Dear reader,

Ever since I was 9 years old, I knew I wanted to be a psychiatrist. I was enthralled by how humans were influenced by emotions and wanted to better understand that within myself and others. After the brief and life-changing exchange with my dad that you read above, I finished the arduous (but rewarding!) journey of becoming a child psychiatrist.

I am an NYU-trained child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, who uses a holistic approach to carefully understand an individual’s needs. My father was an acupuncturist and always inspired me to look at the individual as a whole. I continue to honor this tradition that he taught me in my practice today. I currently hold a clinical instructor position at the NYU School of Medicine and continue to teach medical trainees.

As a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry, my special interests lie in the foray of ADHD, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorder. Additionally, I have an extensive background in treating depression, bipolar-spectrum, anxiety, panic, and psychotic-spectrum psychiatric conditions.

If we both decide to work together, my hope is that you will feel better and better each time we meet. To do this, I use a mix of psychotherapy and psychiatric medicine to alleviate symptoms for you.

Thanks for coming to my website. I hope you get a better sense of who I am here.

Warmly,
Michael
